With two mini-SAS connections, MS8X+HG provide high transfer rates for 6G SAS, SATA hard drives and SSD. Utilizing two high bandwidth mini-SAS (SFF-8088) cabling, the MS8X+HG support 6Gb/s SAS or SATA hard drives to deliver superior read / write speeds that are crucial in performance-driven environments such as video editing industry and server application. The mini-SAS ports combine eight hard drives connections into two, reducing possible points of failures, while preserving uninterrupted data transfer. The MS8X+HG also supports SATA and SAS drives, allowing users the option to choose between high performance and high capacity storage solutions. Bundled RAID-on-Chip controller increase overall performance by offload complex RAID calculation to dedicated RAID controller chips.
