The MobileSTOR MS8X+BHG is a 8-bay storage solution with bundled RAID-on-Chip RAID controller (RR4522, PCIe 2.0 x8), high bandwidth mini-SAS cables, and 8 bay storage tower. With two mini-SAS connections, MS8X+BHG provide high transfer rates for 6G SAS, SATA hard drives and SSD. Utilizing two high bandwidth mini-SAS (SFF-8088) cabling, the MS8X+BHG support 6Gb/s SAS or SATA hard drives to deliver superior read / write speeds that are crucial in performance-driven environments such as video editing industry and server application. The mini-SAS ports combine eight hard drives connections into two, reducing possible points of failures, while preserving uninterrupted data transfer. The MS8X+BHG also supports SATA and SAS drives, allowing users the option to choose between high performance and high capacity storage solutions. Bundled RAID-on-Chip controller increase overall performance by offload complex RAID calculation to dedicated RAID controller chips.
